How the course works
Our unique split module yoga teacher training gives you flexibility to become qualified in your own time, as well as logging plenty of real-time contact hours with our all of our Yoga Teacher Training Team.
Module A
Live online lectures and Q&A sessions
The first module is a 2-week training schedule that will be live classes focused on the Traditional foundations of Yoga.

Module B
Complete in your own time - Instructional hands-on classes and home assignments
Now that you have learned the foundations of traditional yoga...next you will learn to become a Yoga Teacher. Module B is focused on training you to become a confident and competent teacher. You compete this module in your own time and on your own schedule.

Lalit is the Founding Director of Himalaya Yoga Valley and leads all 200 & 300 hour Teacher Training Programs. Lalit began studying at traditional Indian yoga schools known as Gurukulams at the age of 7 and he is honoured to have studied yoga under some of the most well-known and respected yoga Masters in India. He has spent nearly a decade studying numerous traditional styles and disciplines at various Ashrams in North and South India.
Lalit is a master yoga asana teacher with an unrivalled intuition for his student's growth in their practice. Students who practice with Lalit will always consider him their teacher for life.

Anatomy Teacher
Adam Divine
Adam has been teaching massage courses and anatomy for yoga teacher trainees for eight years around the world and has been practising massage for over 14. He is a Structural Bodyworker trained with Anatomy Trains and has also studied Ayurvedic Yoga Massage and Thai Bodywork. Adam specialises in body reading, therapeutic bodywork and myofascial release.
Anybody who has studied with Adam will tell you that his passion and enthusiasm for the human body is infectious. His classes are always engaging and take our students well beyond just the basics of anatomy. You're sure to leave each one of Adam's lectures in awe of the magic of the human body.

Philosophy Teacher
Viriam Kaur
Viriam has been teaching Yoga, Meditation and Awareness Practices for over 15 years and is a Senior Yoga Teacher. For the last 9 years she has been sharing philosophy on the Himalaya Yoga Valley teacher training. She trained in Kundalini Yoga and Meditation in 2003 and has since studied Yoga Philosophy, Yoga Nidra, Mindfulness, Dance and Movement Meditation and Biodynamic Breath Bodywork.
Viriam's Philosophy classes are more than just lectures, she takes her students on a journey, using yoga philosophy as a vehicle to expand their perception. Our students always find that Viriam's classes are where they become aware of the vastness of the practice of traditional yoga.

Maeve has been teaching meditation and mindfulness for over 11 years, and during her time as a Meditation Teacher on Himalaya Yoga Valley's Yoga Teacher Traning programme has taught thousands of students from all over the globe. Maeve is a 500hr Registered Yoga Teacher and is passionate about sharing the transformative powers of traditional yoga meditation and mindfulness with the world.

Mandeep Deol
Mandeep was born in Punjab and grew up in the northern Indian town of Dharamsala, nestling on the foothills of The Himalayas. She joined Himalaya Yoga Valley as Yoga teacher in March 2018 and she specialises in teaching Pranayama, Chanting, Kriyas and Yoga Nidra.
Mandeep has been passionate about yoga and meditation since discovering the practice to manage stress levels from her busy career as cabin crew for a number of airlines. She's particularly interested in yoga for stress management and the practical application of yoga for overall reductions in stress and anxiety in people's lives.

He likes to look at yoga asana as a holistic practice that can be applied as a physical and mental therapy. Dr Rohit Borkar
Dr. Rohit was born in Goa and completed his Bachelor of Ayurveda Medicine and Surgery (B.A.M.S.) degree at Goa University. He practices medicine in his North Goa clinics, renowned as an Ayurvedic physician, panchakarma and yoga specialist, with over a decade of experience in these areas.
Dr Rohit is a very popular lecturer with trainees, inspiring many to continue further studies in Ayurveda medicine. He says: “Ayurveda, the science of life, is a boon to the science of healing and to seekers of health, rejuvenation, longevity and well-being”

Tomoe is originally from Japan where she started yoga practice. She noticed yoga was turning her curiosity to the world into herself slowly, and that was when she decided to take the 200h teacher training with Himalaya Yoga Valley in 2012, exploring what lies behind the practice. After 7 years, she returned to Goa to take part in our internship program and then joined the Himalaya Yoga Valley teaching team.
Tomoe is a dedicated Yogi and her experience in her own practice and in teaching is why students so greatly value her feedback and guidance during the practical teaching elements of our Yoga Teacher Trainings.
